Epic is looking for an experienced climber to join our route setting team. Prior setting experienced to the front of the line but not required. This is a part-time position requiring 3 days a week minimum. The ideal candidate is passionate about climbing, has a STRONG work ethic (setting is hard work) and desires to engage with our community. This is a great opportunity for someone who is an experienced climber who is interested in starting a career in setting. You will learn from one of the most experienced setters in the Midwest.

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of consistent climbing indoors and out
- Ability to climb V4 and 5.11 comfortably on lead
- Previous setting experience (preferred)
- Rope climbing experience a must
- Background check required
- Basic understanding of movement
- Ability to work long hours working in a physically and mentally demanding job
- Ability to hang in rope systems for an extended period
- A teachable attitude and willingness to learn and be corrected is a must
Responsibilities:
- Availability to set 3 days a week M-F and potentially a Saturday
- Be able to set continuing improving in quality routes in a timely manner
- A desire to be a part of and interact with the EPIC community
- Continually striving to improve personal setting skills
- Conduct all setting activities with attention and attention to risk in the setting environment
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting wage range from $14-$15/hour increasing to $15 – $16/hour once fully trained
